Foil Snowflakes - Altered

Double Duty Snowflakes!

Have you started making your holiday cards yet?  I have friends who are completely finished, others who have yet to begin.  Me?  Let’s just say that I have started.

Here’s a fun and simple idea you might want to try.  It features the Merry Little Labels stamp set, however, I recommend the bundle because the punch is awesome, Merry Music Designer Series Paper (DSP), and Foil Snowflakes (with a twist).

I sponged the DSP, which has a white background,  using Pool Party ink and a Stampin’ Sponge, just around the edges because I knew it would be covered by the smaller piece of Whisper White card stock.  The sentiment is stamped in Basic Black Archival ink.

I wanted to use the Foil Snowflakes while tying it into the Pool Party I used on the DSP.  By flipping the snowflake over to the non-foiled side I was able to sponge on Pool Party ink. The back is an off white mat finish so it takes ink well.  I used two of the snowflakes to create a fun dimension.   I hope you will give it a try!

Until Next time . . .
